Like all accountants, we were no different, Self-Assessment time! The hard work we put in, in the lead up to Christmas paid dividends. A record month for both returns and revenue, what a great way to start the year.

We put an initiative in place with our sister company MMC, CIS contractors looking to get their returns in early to get their annual tax rebate. The initiative worked brilliantly. Excellent uptake for our Self-Assessments at a great price. Look out for it again this year MMC.

Recruitment – Dan and Jade joined the team in Ellesmere Port, fitting into the team brilliantly.

A new Website and Full Rebrand. At the tail end of 2023 we engaged Rightclick Solutions to help us with our digital marketing as we felt our online presence needed some updating. Once tax return season was out of the way, we went full steam ahead with our rebrand and new site. We’re very proud of the outcome, let us know what you think.

Merger of Clear Accounting and Mills and Co of Conwy. A huge deal for both us and James. We’re now able to offer more services and are accessible for the whole of the North Wales coastline. Both James and Katie have integrated themselves into the team excellently and we’re excited to see what the future holds.

We became members of West Cheshire & North Wales Chamber of Commerce – In January we identified networking and getting out into the local business community as one of our key objectives for the year and in July, we took a huge step forward with this. Being part of the Chamber is an important step forward for us as we look to become more established outside of North Wales.

Our Practice went fully digital. Headed up by our Managing Director Dave, this was a landmark project that took a huge amount of time and effort to implement. All of our communication is now automatically saved to our clients records, meaning we’re able to offer the best possible customer experience.

Having spent the year attending numerous networking events, our Practice Manager, Nyree, saw a gap in the market for a “Women in Business” networking group so, with the help of Jo at Leonard Curtis, she set up Clear Connex. The first meeting at Dylan’s restaurant in Menai Bridge was a huge success. 2025 will see us hold quarterly Clear Connex meetings. Keep your eyes peeled.

Nyree invited to be a panellist on the British Business Bank roadshow held at M-Sparc, home of our Head Office. Spotlight on Wales was a great success, and Nyree did a fantastic job. No doubt she’ll be asked to do more!
